Important information about SBSC certificate archive

Approved Bodies and Approved Certifiers of Construction will be aware that from April 2023 the method of issuing Certificates of Constructions was moved away from the Scottish Building Standards Scheme website (www.SBSC.uk.net) to SELECTcerts.
 
SELECTs Certification of Construction Scheme requires you to keep copies of certificates issued for a minimum of 5 years and it is likely that you will have downloaded and saved copies of these together with associated checklists at the time of issue and therefore already hold your own archive of certificates. 
 
Please note that from the end of November 2023 the SBSC certificate archive is to be closed and you will therefore no longer have access to any certificates that are stored on the SBSC website.
 
It is therefore advised that where there are certificates on the system that you need to retain as a record of work that you should download copies of these to hold in your own archive before the cut of date for closure of the SBSC site which is 30 November 2023 – should you require assistance with this please contact SELECTs ICT Project Manager [email protected] 
 
For information: Shortly after the closure of the certificate archive the public pages of www.sbsc.uk.net will be refreshed – these are specifically to provide members of the public with direction to the various certification schemes approved by the Scottish Governments Building Standards Division .
