SELECT Members views are needed on changes to the National Progression Award

The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) is seeking SELECT Members’ views on changes to the National Progression Award (NPA) Building Services Engineering qualification.

The SQA is currently proposing to revise the qualification, which is suitable for new entrants to the industry.

It was determined from a scoping consultation with training providers and industry bodies that the qualification should be updated to incorporate three pathways – Electrotechnical, HVRAC and Plumbing. This will create opportunities for vocational areas which did not exist previously.

The SQA is now looking for direct feedback from employers on the proposed changes. We would therefore appreciate any feedback from you using this link, which will take you to a short survey.

The survey – which closes on Friday 25 March – will take approximately five to ten minutes to complete and will allow you to have your say on how this qualification should be designed.

Your participation is very much appreciated and will help shape the future of the industry.
